Bet Aleph Meditative Synagogue Aron Kodesh

This portable aron kodesh was custom made for the Bet Aleph Meditational Synagogue in Seattle, Washington, USA.

Based upon the hanging aron kodesh theme, it was made for a portable space, easy to transport and placed upon a table for weekly use.  This ark was build from solid African Walnut with a two-tone finish and dovetail joinery. The doors include inset copper plates. The Ner Tamid was made from copper to suit the design and house a candle which flickers off the texture of the metal, give a floating feel above the ark, while hanging from the back with thin stainless steel hook, which can be easily removed for storage. The handles were custom made from solid copper to suit the design as well and beautifully compliment the piece.
