Bass Synagogue Furniture uses the highest quality materials and finishes to assure that your woodwork will last to be a legacy to generations ahead. When you custom build your synagogue furniture with us you customize the wood and finish to suit your space.
Wood: Our woods of choice are African Walnut and Beechwood for a number of reasons. They are hardwoods. African Walnut is easy a pleasure to carve, join, and work on details and decorative elements. It is a light colored wood and accepts stains well, allowing us to achieve almost any shade. Beechwood has been renowned for its strength, particularly for building chairs, benches, and tables.
Stain: Our water based stains penetrate deep into the grains of the wood to give depth. Choose from our standard Stain palette below or choose custom stain and we will customize any stain to match your existing furniture. (Custom stain match is $275 per entire project, your final price will be adjusted accordingly).
Finish: Each piece of furniture and judaica is finished with at least three coats of semi-gloss professional lacquer finish. By sanding each layer finer between coats, we are able to achieve an incredibly resilient, strong, long-lasting, water-resistant finish.
