The mechitza comes to five feet. The bottom half is built from wood at an angle to prevent tripping, and the top half holds clear glass panels with etching representing the seven species of Israel. The Bimah includes a ramp for handicap accessibility and railing. The benches double as a torah holder. A table pulls out under the reading table for congregants in wheelchairs. The entire bimah is also made portable. It can split in half and be wheeled out of the room for large events.
