This Mezuza won honorable mention at the Spertus Prize Museum in Los Angeles, the largest Judaica competition to date. Immediately after the exhibit showcase the museum decided to purchase the mezuza for their private collection. Standing approximately twenty-five inches in height, Israeli artist Gabriel Bass carved this extraordinary piece from one solid piece of old growth Yellow cedar. Lions guard two doors, which can be opened to reveal the hand written scroll. The mezuzah scroll is displayed in glass tubing inserted from the back.
