Aron Kodesh for Sephardic Minyan at Young Israel
This Aron Kodesh was commissioned along with a matching torah table by the Sephardic Minyan at the Westchester Young Israel in New Rochelle, New York. The twelve tribes carvings flanking the side columns of this ark are carved by hand at from ancient Israeli olive wood. The olive wood is environmentally harvested, rescued from development, cut, and carefully dried, stored in weather controlled conditions until ready to work.
