This wood mechitza was originally designed for the Lower Merion Synagogue in Balacynwyd, PA outside Philadephia. It has become one of our best sellers. The unique design allows the mechitzas to be opened to various degrees. Some congregations appreciate opening and closing the space for the rabbi’s sermon, an occassional bar-mitzvah, or closed for davening. The laser cut space between the wood has been carefully balanced between visibility and modesty. We create each mechitza custom according to order, so the size proportions, top material, color, and other details can be adjusted or redesigned to suit your community.
