Dome and Pillar Aron Kodesh

This impressive aron kodesh pushes the boundaries of solid woodwork carpentry.  The dome and pillars were sculpted from solid wood glue ups with classic chair making and carved by hand by Gabriel with traditional carving knives.  The symbols on the sides represent the Twelve Tribes of Israel and the dome with menorah and floral pattern, also handmade glass inlays.  The completely solid wood doors are hung from above and slide on hidden track from beneath for the very smoothest movement.  When you push or pull the middle doors the others move in unison.  This piece is a true work of master craftsmanship and example of only few of the many shapes that are possible to build and carve from solid wood.  This aron stands tall, about 10 feet high and 8 feet wide.
